Alabama does not have a state licensure requirement. However, for agencies providing medical care you must obtain a Certificate of Need (CON) from Alabama State Health Planning and Development Agency (SHPDA). For agencies providing non-medical care (Home Care) a Certificate of Need (CON) is not required. We offer documents for the following Alabama agency types.
Providing skilled medical care in the clients home accepting Medicare, Insurance, VA, Private Pay, and Workers Compensation Reimbursement. This agency type can enroll as a Medicare provider and receive reimbursement.
Providing skilled medical care accepting Insurance, VA, Private Pay, and Workers Compensation Reimbursement. This agency type cannot bill Medicare.
Providing non-medical care such as: medication assistance, transferring, grooming, dressing, meal preparation, denture care, toileting, bathing, transportation and errand services.
