Starting a Florida Home Health Agency or Homemaker & Companion Services Provider?

Florida Home Health Agency with Medicare

An agency that provides skilled services (by nurses, therapists, social workers) and/or unskilled services (by home health aides, certified nursing assistants, homemaker, companions) to patients in their homes. This agency type can enroll as a Medicare provider and receive reimbursement.

Florida Home Health Agency

An agency that provides skilled services (by nurses, therapists, social workers) and/or unskilled services (by home health aides, certified nursing assistants, homemaker, companions) to patients in their homes. This agency type cannot bill Medicare.

Homemaker & Companion Services Provider

Homemaker & Companion Services Providers employ individuals to do housekeeping, cook, run errands, and provide companionship to the elderly and adults with disabilities. They cannot provide any personal care or nursing according to state law.
