A non-medical Illinois Home Services Agency is not required to appoint an RN solely because it holds a Home Services license. The agency must, however, designate an agency manager responsible for supervising the provision of services and the agency's day-to-day operation.

IDPH requires an Agency Manager Qualification Review form and asks the proposed manager to describe relevant work experience. The agency must also designate a qualified person to act in the manager's absence.

Permitted non-medical services may include:

When the application is approved, IDPH issues a provisional license that is generally valid for 240 days.
